Khan Of Finland, born of Turkish-Finnish parents in Frankfurt/M works and lives as a composer, performer, and visual artist in Berlin since 2002.
Living in NYC from 1992-2002 he owned the electronic record shop Temple Records-NYC, hosted downtown art events and the infamous queer party KILLER at legendary Save The Robots. He run three record labels and produced and performed with a variety of artists and projects such as: Captain Comatose, Air Liquide, Diamanda Galas, Julee Cruise, Kid Congo Powers, Little Annie or Brigitte Fontaine. During his NYC period he released three full length albums for Matador Records.
Khan hosted a monthly party at Berlin’s techno shrine Berghain. He produced more than 300 physical releases to date. Group and solo exhibitions worldwide. Theater and soundtrack work for Television and feature film including cameos. Khan’s work has been presented at PS1 New York, Sónar Festival, Trans Musicales, CTM Berlin just to name a few
He presented his photo-book/box-set “Angels Of Disguise” (Fantome Verlag 2013) at Kassel's documenta13. A collection of stolen photographes taken from gay cruising sites off the internet.
Khan’s last solo album “The Enlightenment Machine” was released on AlbumLabel -Radom Noize Musick 2014.
2015 touring live with German techno brothers Tiefschwarz and singing on their latest studio album “Left”, out on Watergate Records.
Late 2015 he relaese the collaboration project “Wild Style Lion” featuring J Mascis and Kim Gordon on his own label imprint I’m Single Records. European Tour with Dinosaur Jr. in Nov. 2016.
March 2017 new studio album on Shitkatapult “NICHT-NUR-SEX” and move to Mexico.
